You can get good-looking CS2 skins for little money by choosing the right wear, skipping StatTrak™, picking lower rarities with strong designs and building a loadout with matching colours. A clean Field-Tested or Minimal Wear skin on a weapon you use every round often looks better in game than an expensive knife you rarely see. Here is how to stretch a small budget.
Set a budget and browse by price
The easiest starting point is a price band. Our budget pages list what is in stock right now, ordered so you can scan quickly:
- CS2 skins under 5 euros for filling a whole loadout cheaply.
- CS2 skins under 10 euros, where many popular rifle and pistol finishes start to appear.
- CS2 skins under 25 euros for a standout skin on your main weapon.
Prices on SoleBCN follow the live market in euros, refresh every 10 minutes and already include our fee. Skins under 2 € aren't listed, so everything you see is a real step up from the default look.
Wear: why Field-Tested and Minimal Wear are the sweet spot
Factory New is the most expensive wear, but on many skins the difference from Minimal Wear is hard to notice in a match. Field-Tested is often the best value: some wear appears, but the design stays clear, and it can cost much less than the cleaner versions.
| Wear | Float range | Budget take |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New | 0.00–0.07 | Cleanest look, highest price; worth it only on skins where wear really shows |
| Minimal Wear | 0.07–0.15 | Looks nearly new for less |
| Field-Tested | 0.15–0.38 | Often the best value; design still reads well |
| Well-Worn | 0.38–0.45 | Cheaper, wear becomes visible |
| Battle-Scarred | 0.45–1.00 | Cheapest; some skins look great worn, many don't |
Each skin page shows the price of every wear and the float range that skin can have, so compare before choosing. Note that you get a random float within the wear you pick. Some skins only exist in a narrow range, and a few look surprisingly good in Battle-Scarred. Our float guide goes deeper into how the number works.
Rarity: Mil-Spec and Restricted with strong designs
Rarity drives price more than looks do. Mil-Spec (blue) and Restricted (purple) skins are far more common than Classified or Covert, so they cost less, yet many have clean, modern designs. Look for:
- Bold single-colour or two-tone finishes that read clearly from first person.
- Skins from recent collections, which often have more polished designs than older low-tier finishes.
- Finishes on weapons you hold most of the time, such as your main rifle and your pistol.
Skins worth checking first
These are often found in the budget bands, though prices move with the market, so check the live price on each page:
- AK-47 Slate: a clean dark finish on the most used rifle.
- AWP Atheris: a colourful snake design on the AWP.
- USP-S Cortex: a detailed, eye-catching pistol finish.
- AK-47 Elite Build: a sharp, technical look.
- Five-SeveN Case Hardened: the metallic Case Hardened style at a lower cost.
Skip StatTrak™ if price comes first
StatTrak™ versions add a kill counter and usually cost noticeably more than the normal version. When you buy one, the counter resets for you, so it only counts your kills. If you want the look rather than the counter, the plain version gives you the same finish for less. Compare both prices on the skin page; our StatTrak™ guide explains when the counter is worth paying for.
Build a matching loadout
A loadout feels expensive when it looks coordinated. Pick a colour theme, such as black and gold, blue and white, or red and black, and choose cheap skins for each weapon that fit it. A consistent set of budget skins usually looks better than one expensive item next to default weapons.
Think about what you actually see on screen. In first person you look at your weapon from one angle, mostly the side and the top, so finishes with strong colour on those areas give you more for your money. Busy, detailed designs can turn into noise at a distance, while simple contrasting colours stay readable in every map and lighting condition. Spectators and teammates also see your weapon from the outside, so a clean silhouette helps there too.
- Choose your theme colours.
- Start with the weapons you see most: main rifle, AWP if you snipe, pistol.
- Fill the rest from the under-5 € band.
- Add gloves or a knife later, from the gloves category or the knife price pages, when the budget allows.

FAQ
What is the cheapest skin I can buy on SoleBCN?
Skins under 2 € aren't listed, so the cheapest items start around that level. The under-5 € page shows what is in stock right now.
Do Battle-Scarred skins look bad?
It depends on the finish. Some designs hide wear well or even look better scratched, while others lose detail. Check the float range on the skin page and look at inspect images before deciding.
Can I mix low-cost skins with an expensive knife later?
Yes. Many players build a cheap themed loadout first and add a knife or gloves in matching colours later, which keeps the whole set consistent.
